Interviews with Slingers creator Mike Sizemore

The creator of and writer for Slingers, Mike Sizemore, has given two interviews.  The first, a podcast with the Geek Syndicate, can be found by clicking here and then by clicking on "Direct Download: Episode 141."  The interview with Sizemore starts about 1/2 way in.  They talk about the possibility of the show going right to the series without a pilot (YAY!) as well as whether the cast from the trailer will be coming along for the series.  It sounds like it all comes down to whether the actors are available (fingers crossed!)!

The other interview by Live for Films can be found by clicking here.  Two of the most interesting bits:

  • "Frank played by Tom Mison is the guy having a problem with his gun. He and DM are best friends, ex war buddies and have a certain skill set they decide to keep using now that peace time isn’t all it was promised to be. DM is the calm collected one who prefers to think his way out of situations. Frank is the lovable idiot who throws himself into situations he then has to fight his way out of. DM is kinda broken. Frank we try and break each and every week if we can."
  • "The weapon that Frank is arguing with is GUN. She’s actually a very special weapon, but tends not to always agree with Frank. Again it’s a complicated relationship."

Bingley in space?

I love the part that says "Frank is a lovable idiot" -- just like Bingley.  Can't wait to see what they have planned for poor Tom to go through every week - "Frank we try and break each and every week if we can."  EEK!
