Lots to Cheer About in 2013's Year End Lists

Several year-end lists were published yesterday, and it's no surprise that Sleepy Hollow and Tom were mentioned in quite a few:

TV Guide: Cheers & Jeers - 2013's Best & Worst in TV (see photo*)
Cheers to Sleepy Hollow's Tom Mison for bringing a dash of witty panache to a literary legend.  He transforms Ichabod Crane into a strapping Revolutionary War spy doing battle with infamous (sometimes headless) demons. Crane's rants against modern customs are an endless delight.

Tom Mison (Sleepy Hollow)
We were admittedly skeptical about this show when we saw the pilot, thinking it might be goofy fun, but otherwise kept our expectations low. But the talented Tom Mison and his gentle, mannered accent have made us full on Sleepy addicts. From his adoring flashbacks with his wife to his confusion about modern conveniences (plus his charming habit of calling Abbie "Leftenant") have put us totally under his spell.

10. Sleepy Hollow
A thrilling mystery-adventure drama series spanning two and a half centuries, in which a resurrected Ichabod Crane pairs up with a present-day cop to save the enigmatic town of Sleepy Hollow – and the world – from unprecedented evil.

Tom MisonIchabod Crane, Sleepy Hollow
While the Ichabod of Irving's famous tale was a gawky, unattractive fellow, FOX chose to have a handsome and dashing war hero battle the headless horseman in this reimagining of the original short story. Loyal and brave, Ichabod has had some setbacks while trying to adjust to living in contemporary society. However, he handles the sometimes ridiculous nature of living in the 21rst century with a keen, dry wit, expertly delivered by Mison.

9. Tom Mison:
'Nother scarily talented Brit who - as Ichabod Crane - has upstaged the Headless Horseman in Fox hit "Sleepy Hollow."
