Slingers Gets a lot of Buzz

Slingers Gets a lot of Buzz

The Slingers teaser (also called a 'sizzle') that was released a week ago was very well received across the web, getting more than 75,000 combined views from its postings on Vimeo, director Steve Barron's site and You Tube.  The buzz started with the sci-fi blogs, but was quickly picked up by more mainstream media outlets.  Here is a sampling of some of the reviews (all are clickable links):

Huffington Post

The response has been overwhelmingly positive!  All that love for the 3 minute video has helped the creators along in their goal of bringing this to television (interviews with show creator Sizemore to be posted soon).  For those who haven't seen the teaser yet (or may just want to enjoy Tom's performance again), click here.

A Review of Slingers Sizzle

Terence Eden, a friend of Slingers creator Sizemore (or at least able to get close enough to him to steal his iPhone), has seen the two and a half minute sizzle, or preview, of the series.  He reviews it here.

Slingers Sizzle Nearly Complete

Slingers creator Sizemore has been tweeting about the show, saying that they will be finishing the preview "sizzle" this week around the 29th.  They are under wraps until MIPCOM, an international film and programme market for TV, video, cable and satellite in Cannes, France.  It runs from October 5-9, then we may get a peek at the spaceship (or more?) after that.  He says they will then start gearing up for the pilot!

Thanks again to Sizemore for being so accessible and having us along for the ride!
